Who are the classes for?

Almost everyone who has a video camera, lives in the Amersham/Beaconsfield/High Wycombe areas and wants to improve what he or she shoots:
- Professionals wanting to put video on YouTube or their own website
- Amateurs wanting to shoot a friend or relation’s wedding or other event
- Enthusiasts wanting to make music videos
- Family members wanting to make memorable holiday videos
- Anyone who just wants to progress
How do the classes work?
Four students and four sessions, each lasting around two hours, it is as simple as that. Restricting the number of students to four means one gets more personal attention. It really does not matter if you are a complete beginner or already have some experience; everyone ends up feeling they have gained something.
The classes are very practical with an emphasis on doing rather than sitting and listening so do not forget to bring your camera.
Do I need to bring anything?
Yes, a video camera and we do ask you to tell us what it is before you come. It does not need to be an expensive, high-tech camera but if you are about to buy one contact us and we will be happy to offer helpful suggestions.
If you already have editing software (maybe it came with the camera) and it is on a laptop then bring that too. Do not worry if you have not got that far yet.
I shoot everything on a Smartphone, are the classes still for me?
Yes, most of the fundamental things you will learn apply to any form of camera (the true skill is in the person not the camera after all) but there are a few things that come up that may encourage you to get yourself a dedicated camera.
